We will be in France for 10 days in a couple weeks; I am trying to decide which guidebook to buy/take along. We will be renting a car for the first half and visiting Normandy, Brittany, & Loire Valley and then Paris for the second half of the trip.
We are big foodies on a not so big budget, looking for places to visit that are off the tourist circuit; also looking for cheap to moderately. Rouen is the capital of Haute-Normandie and owes everything to its advantageous location on the road from Paris to the sea.
